Ensure the safety of your home with modern switchboards and safety switches.
Under Australian law, houses built after 1991 are required to have safety switches fitted to their power switchboard. This ensures that in the event of a power surge or some sort of electrical fault in the system, the switch is activated, rapidly cutting off the power. Safety switch installation plays a key part in preventing electrical fires, as well as minimising the risk that unsuspecting home occupants will end up receiving a dangerous (and possibly even lethal) electric shock. Unfortunately, not everybody has had their switchboard checked to see if switches have been fitted. This is where we can help: with more than two decades of experience behind us, we are ideally placed to check switchboards for the presence of safety switches and the integrity of any that have been fitted. Some switches could have been in use for decades so almost inevitably, over time, they may deteriorate. We are able to check each one, rapidly assessing its condition and recommending appropriate remedial action if necessary.

Safety switch not resetting? We’re here for you
Sometimes safety switches can appear to malfunction for no obvious reason. Although a safety switch should only activate when there is a fault, some can begin to cut off the power supply spontaneously. Other common problems include: the switch failing to reset following an event, despite the cause of the activation having been resolved; switches which only work intermittently; and switches which adversely affect other wirings in the home.
